A new video, developed by simple.xyz, has emerged online, highlighting French artist JR’s New York City leg of the “INSIDE OUT” global art project. In April 2013, a photobooth truck was installed in Times Square, the site of the world’s first-ever photo booth almost 100 years ago, catching the attention of curious onlookers.

Over the course of its stay, nearly 6,000 participants, both local and non-local, had black-and-white portraits taken against a dotted backdrop; their images printed and pasted on Duffy Square, resulting in the activation of the bustling intersection as a creative hub.
