What made you become an artist? Could you tell me more about your background?
I always love to draw. But my father always wants me to become a football player but all I want was to paint.
Basic question, but how did you choose your name?
It’s about my body – hahahah. I m a strong guy and one day one of my friends call me the German oak like Schwarzenegger was the Austrian oak. Then some nicknames like oaky, wood head and woody was associated to me.
But one day I decided to paint a woodland style and I signed it with my artist name “MONO“. After I have done a lot of works, I decided to change my name from “MONO“ to “WOODLAND“.
Finally, I had MR.“ in front because it sounds better than woodland alone:) its a funny and stupid name but I’m sure that I’m the only one with this name and if you hear it once you’ll never forget it!
Could you tell us about your technique and the type of work you create?
I always use spray cans but I try to change a little to put more acrylics in my work.

What influenced you artistically?
Right now, I love classical fine art paintings and I’m not even inspired by graffiti.
Which is the best wall you have ever painted?
I don’t know because I’m always very critical with myself… but I like the artwork “HIBERNATION“ I did some month ago.
Also one of my best trips was in LAGOS, Portugal this year and this wall is amazing!
Nonetheless, I always try to become better after every artwork.
When you are visiting a new city, how do you choose the spot where you’ll paint a work?
It depends – if I am invited, the wall is almost chosen for me but if I’m there for my own I try to organize to paint a big wall, because I love to go big and for sure I love abandoned places
Why did you choose to work with StreetArtAndGraffiti.com?
I think its a good platform with good artist – so I have to be a part of it:)
Any exciting projects coming up?
I always try to make every project exciting for me because I love what I do and I paint with 100% of my heart.
There are some projects, I’m really looking forward to like a trip to Denmark next year and also to UK where I’ve never been before.
